We're proud to be the very first Better Business Bureau (BBB),
which started an international movement right here in Minneapolis,
MN back in 1912. We invite past accredited businesses to be a part
of our "Comeback Campaign" and rejoin their BBB during our
Centennial celebration this coming year.
Today, just like in 1912, the BBB continues to ensure that high
standards for trust are set and maintained in our marketplace.
Consumers and businesses alike have an unbiased source in the BBB
to help guide them on matters of trust and to help them make
informed purchasing decisions. More than 84% of American consumers
check online before they buy (Retail Association, 2009).
BBB accreditation reflects
our commitment to being a hard working, respected business partner
in Minnesota. The BBB logo in our marketing materials is an
instantaneous representation of that commitment.

things are happening and we are inviting you to "Comeback" and
enjoy the newly improved and enhanced programs and services we
offer our Accredited Businesses:
- Business Reviews and BBB Online Directory -
Consumers turns to us to find businesses they can trust! They visit
bbb.org to learn
about a company's track record in the marketplace and BBB rating
before doing business with them. They can also search our online
directory of BBB Accredited Businesses, by type of
industry/profession (e.g. plumbers, printers, dentists).
- Request a Quote is a BBB program that
generates consumer contacts directly from your Business Review page
and the business category from the BBB's home page - Customers are
encouraged to Request a Quote from your business, at which point an
email message is sent to you with contact information and a
description of the products/services sought.
- Search Engine Optimization/Enhanced website presence is
growing - bbb.org is recognized as an "Authority Site" by
major search engines. Over 2 million requests were received online
in 2010 via our local website and there has been a 29% increase in
requests for service from the BBB so far this year. As an
Accredited Business, your company can place the BBB's logo on your
website, which acts as a live link to your BBB Business
Review.
